At the tender age of 12, Jeffries decided to pursue a career in the auto industry. While still in college, he took over an ailing gas station/repair garage that the company (now BP Oil) figured was a lost cause anyway, so there was no harm in letting an inexperienced 19 year old run it. Within a year, the location rose from its perennial last place position to #3 in the zone, based on gallonage and repair sales.
He later moved into the retail side of the business with a Pittsburgh-based Ford dealership, working in sales, sales management, and ultimately, creating the dealership’s fleet department from scratch. His experience in fleet and commercial sales led him to the fleet leasing part of the industry, where he became the top vehicle producer for what is now Nationsbanc Leasing, and later served as VP of sales for that same company. Following the ‘rollup’ of leasing companies that occurred during the 80’s, he worked for Wheels, Inc. (the third-largest vehicle lessor in the industry) as a Regional Manager.
Following his entrepreneurial desires, he then spent a decade owning and operating his own car rental and leasing company, growing it to 3 locations as a franchisee of Thrifty Car Rental. While engaged in that business, he developed a concept and business plan to lease late-model used cars to end-user fleets, but never developed the funding necessary to launch that on a large scale. After relocating to the mountain west in 2003, he subsequently sold his car rental business and found in Hincklease not only a common interest in fleet leasing, but also the financial wherewithal to aggressively pursue the profitable niche-market of leasing used cars to fleet customers. In the 3 years since joining Hincklease, that portfolio has grown to over 1,000 vehicles. Jeffries’ 30+ years of experience in vehicle sales, rental, leasing, client service, and business development is seen as a tremendous asset to Hincklease’ future growth plans.

Brian T. Baker
Executive V.P. Fleet Services
Phone: (801) 209-1779
Brian oversees many of the daily operations of Hincklease, including Sales, marketing, owner, lender, and client relations. He joined the Hinckley automotive organization in 1985, after a successful stint working with another Fleet/Leasing organization in Salt Lake City. Hincklease was a relatively small (less than 100 vehicles in portfolio) company in 1985 that Jim Hinckley & his father had begun during the ITC years. With the support of lender’s, former clients, and the Hinckley family, Brian began to expand the lease company. Adopting a fundamental growth strategy whose main focus was on helping intelligent Fleet clients who use vehicles in their business, to effectively manage acquisition, maintenance, and disposal processes to maximize dollars spent in the process, Hincklease has grown into one of the most successful private commercial vehicle lenders in the Intermountain West.
Early on, Chrysler Corporation recognized Brian’s innovative and pro-active, relationship building approach with Customers, and has frequently invited Baker to Detroit to participate in various Customer/Fleet Vehicle development endeavors. As a consistent Top Ten performer in the Chrysler Dealer System, Brian has helped Chrysler in many training endeavors for up and coming Fleet Dealer personnel, including productions of Commercial training videos. This close relationship with the primary manufacturer provider of Hincklease vehicles has yielded some very impressive deal packages and unique opportunities that benefit lender, lessee, and lessor alike.
Under Brian’s management, and with his understanding of the Commercial Vehicle market and clients, Hincklease has shown consistent and impressive performance, year after year. He’s built a team of manager’s and performers that are the envy of many in the industry. Recent attrition of Lenders in the Auto leasing realm have created a solid position for Hincklease to continue to expand and grow from.
Senior Municipal Lease Consultant

Having been taught the value of hard work by his parents, Lamont’s early years were spent helping his father rebuilding engines in a garage behind the family home in Ogden, Utah. That love for cars and being able to solve problems, stayed with him as he began working for a Buick/AMC/Jeep dealership in Ogden, Utah. While still in High School, Lamont worked as a service writer, parts department manager and eventually moved on to selling cars while completing his B.S. Degree in Business Management and Human Resources.
After graduating from Weber State University, Lamont left the automotive industry for a period of time to pursue a career in Human Resources. While he did enjoy the career path he had chosen, it didn’t take long before he jumped at the opportunity to return to the Fleet Management arena.
Over the next 20 years, Lamont worked in Fleet Administration for Sorensen Companies in Syracuse, Utah, Salt Lake City Corp and Provo City. With fleet oversight ranging from 1,000 vehicles to over 4,000 pieces of equipment, the value of viable data and a solid fleet replacement plan were the keys to his success. The challenges of replacing vehicles in the government sector where replacement budgets are constantly underfunded, led to a deep understanding of alternative ways to purchase and fund equipment. Lamont is a firm believer of Life Cycle Costing and helping municipalities reduce vehicle maintenance costs by developing solid replacement cycles through alternative funding methods.
After working in the government sector for 15 years, Lamont accepted a position as General Manager for All Resort Group in Park City, Utah, which is the largest charter bus and black car limo transportation company in Utah. With oversight for operations in Utah and Nevada, he expanded their Mine Services Operations at the Rio Tinto Kennecott Utah Copper Mine to include not only the shuttle operations of miners in and out of the mine, but also by providing operators for the Haul Truck operation. By the time he left that position to join Hincklease, he had grown that operation to become the single largest contract operator at the mine.
Lamont makes his home in Layton, Utah and enjoys spending time away from work with family (especially his grandchildren) and riding motorcycles through the scenic mountains and canyons in Utah and the surrounding states. As an accomplished marksman and gunsmith, Lamont regularly shoots in various skills competitions throughout Utah.
